News Manhattan Theatre Club Names Mandy Greenfield Artistic Producer Mandy Greenfield, Manhattan Theatre Club's associate artistic director, will assume the newly created title of artistic producer in January 2011, artistic director Lynne Meadow and executive producer Barry Grove announced on Dec. 15.

Greenfield has been with the not-for-profit company since 2003, when she was an artistic associate. She was made associate artistic director by Meadow in 2008. Her new position begins with the start of the new year.

Greenfield and Meadow will collaborate "on all MTC artistic policy and programming and will continue their close association on all the company's productions," according to a statement from MTC. "In the new paradigm, Greenfield will take the lead for MTC at City Center — programming, guiding, and executing the company's work Off-Broadway. Meadow, Grove, and Greenfield, along with other senior staff members, have begun planning for new initiatives in new play development and production at City Center, the company's Off-Broadway home."

Mandy Greenfield said in a statement, "I am privileged to continue my close association with Lynne and Barry, and deeply grateful to the writers, directors, designers and actors who make our work at MTC so fruitful and gratifying. This new position presents great opportunity, and is a rewarding outgrowth of the artistic collaboration I've enjoyed with Lynne in my time at MTC. I am excited to build upon MTC's rich history of serving our finest living playwrights, programming and producing the kind of strong, adventurous new work, for which we are known."

Prior to joining MTC, Greenfield produced several world-premiere productions including the critically acclaimed musical Betty Rules, Daniel Goldfarb's Modern Orthodox as well as his Adam Baum and the Jew Movie and Darko Tresnjak's Princess Turandot, among many others. Currently, she serves on the advisory board for the Drama League as well as on the committee for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Greenfield graduated magna cum laude from Yale University.

MTC produces a subscription season on Broadway at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and Off-Broadway at NY City Center. MTC productions have garnered 17 Tony Awards, six Pulitzer Prizes, 47 Obies and 29 Drama Desk Awards, as well as numerous Drama Critics Circle, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards. MTC has won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Achievement, a Drama Desk for Outstanding Excellence, and a Theatre World for Outstanding Achievement.
