Under the direction of Dog Run Rep artistic director Jeff Cohen, the Seaport Theatre Festival works in conjunction with the Seaport property owners, General Growth Properties, to offer theatrical programming and arts events to continue the revitalization of lower Manhattan.

The summer at the Seaport will officially kick-off with Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream on June 26. The production will be performed at the @ Seaport space, formerly the site of the Seaport's Liz Claiborne boutique (210 Front Street). Dog Run Rep inaugurated the space last season with Twelfth Night.

The Midsummer cast comprises Stephen Largay (The Last Night of Ballyhoo) as Bottom, Robyn Payne (The Lion King) as Titania, Hillel Meltzer (Jumpers) as Puck, Eric Loscheider (Cycling Past the Matterhorn) as Oberon with David Beck, Hilary Bettis, Charles Browning, Matthew Erlbach, Adam Hirsch, Jonathon Judge-Russo, Mallory Portnoy, Scott Price and Neil Patrick Stewart.

Jeff Cohen stages the work with a design team that includes Ryan Kravetz (set design), Evan Purcell (lighting design) and Amy Kitzhaber (costume design).

Beginning in July, the Seaport's Pier 17 Stage welcomes a series of lunchtime concerts from Broadway show-folk, entitled Broadway at the Seaport. Details will be announced shortly for the free concerts that will take place Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The Seaport Theatre Festival also promises family entertainment, including theatrical productions for children, music events and a summer theatre camp.
