Barrington Stage has announced additional casting for its 2017 summer season, which includes Ragtime, Company, Taking Steps, Speech & Debate, This, The Birds, and Gaslight.

Joining the cast of Ragtime are David Harris as Father and Allison Blackwell as Sarah’s Friend. Ensemble members include Robb Sherman, Christin Avante’ Byrdsong, Alex Nicholson, Danielle James, Frances Evans, and Elliot Trainor. The cast also includes the previously announced Darnell Abraham as Coalhouse, Zurin Villanueva as Sarah, J. Anthony Crane as Tateh, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka as Younger Brother, Anne L. Nathan as Emma Goldman, Lawrence E. Street as Booker T. Washington, Matt Gibson as Willie Conklin, Allen Kendall as JP Morgan, Joe Ventricelli as Houdini, Eric Jon Malhum as Ford, Leanne A. Smith as Evelyn Nesbit, and John Little as Grandfather. The musical, by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, and Terrence McNally, runs June 21–July 15.

The Barrington production of Company, starring Aaron Tveit as Bobby, welcomes Mara Davi as April. The cast also includes Ellen Harvey as Joanne, Lawrence Street as Harry, Jeanette Bayardelle as Sarah, Kate Loprest as Susan, Paul A. Schaefer as Peter, Jane Pfitsch as Jenny, James Ludwig as David, Lauren Marcus as Amy, Joseph Spieldenner as Paul, Peter Reardon as Larry, Nora Schell as Marta, and Rebecca Kuznick as Kathy. Company runs August 13–September 2.

Stephen Karam’s Speech & Debate will feature Austin Davidson as Howie, Ben Getz as Solomon, Edelen McWilliams as Teacher/Reporter, and Betsy Hogg as Diwata. Performances run July 13–29. Jessica Holt directs.

The cast of Melissa James Gibson’s This will include Erica Dorfler as Marrell, Mark Hildreth as Tom, Mark H. Dold as Alan, and Paris Remillard as Jean-Pierre. Louisa Proske will assume directing duties from the previously announced Christopher Innvar. Performances run August 3–27.

Luke Smith has joined the cast of Alan Ayckbourn’s Taking Steps, while Stevie Ray Dallimore will step into the role of Nat, replacing the previously announced Innvar.
