Shakespeare´s Hamlet opened at The Sergio Cardoso Theatre, Sao Paulo on Aug. 16, 1997. Ulisses Cruz directs. After directing King Lear, Macbeth and Pericles - Prince of Tyre, Brazilian director Ulisses Cruz shows how it´s possible to thrill the audience with a few innovations in his portrayal of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.

Hamlet a Production costing R$450.000,00 has a live orchestra and such surprising elements as the nudity of sweet and melancholic Ophelia.

Starring in the leading roles are stage and TV actor Marco Ricca as Hamlet plus young actress Julia Feldens as Ophelia. Also featured is the work of Ciro Menna Barreto (Scenery Design) and Elena Toscano (Set Design).
