As previously announced, the series of semi-staged performances will include Coco (Sept. 10-12), The Roar of the Greasepaint— The Smell of the Crowd (Oct. 1-3), I Remember Mama (Oct. 8-10) and I Love My Wife (Oct. 22-24).
Coco will feature cabaret veteran Andrea Marcovicci in the title of role of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel with Jessica Grové (Sunday in the Park with George) as Noelle, Tony nominee Charles Kimbrough (Accent on Youth) as Louis Greif and Kristine Nielsen (Love, Loss and What I Wore) as Pignol. Mark Kaufmann will direct with music direction by Michael Horsley.
The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd will feature 2010 Drama Desk Award winner Jim Brochu (Zero Hour), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime) and Josh Grisetti (Enter Laughing, The Musical) in the roles of Sir, The Negro and Cocky, respectively. Tony nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) will direct with Ethyl Will as music director.
I Remember Mama will be directed by Michael Montel with Mark Hartman as music director. I Love My Wife will be directed by Carl Andress with music direction by Matt Castle.
Complete casting and creative teams for all four Muftis will be announced shortly. Each show will play five performances: Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2:30 and 8 PM, and Sunday at 2:30 and 7:30 PM. Audience discussions will follow all matinees.
