Cabaret chanteuse-actress Andrea Marcovicci will appear in a one-night-only performance of I Am Anne Frank on June 12.

A benefit for the Anti-Defamation League, I Am Anne Frank will be presented at 8 PM at New York's Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street). Featuring music by Michael Cohen and lyrics by Enid Futterman, the musical is based on material from Anne Frank's famed diary. Joining Marcovicci in the star-studded cast are Rue McClanahan, La Chanze, Lucie Arnaz, Meredith Vieira, Polly Bergen, Tovah Feldshuh, Lanie Kazan, Marilyn Michaels, Uta Hagen and Jane Powell. Marin Alsop will conduct the Concordia Orchestra.

June 12 — the night of the benefit — would mark Frank's 73rd birthday had she not died at the hands of the Nazis in a concentration camp during World War II. Established in 1913, the Anti-Defamation League fights "anti Semitism, bigotry and crimes of hate."

Andrea Marcovicci has starred on Broadway and in several films and television productions; it has been the cabaret stage, however, where she has received the most acclaim. The singer-actress has performed at Carnegie Hall and in concert halls throughout the world, and her New York base is the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel where has she has delighted fans and critics for the past decade. Marcovicci has several solo albums — including "Marcovicci Loves Movies" and "What Is Love?" — and she also recorded I Am Anne Frank.
