The July lineup for the Broadway Buskers concert series, hosted by Ben Cameron at the Broadway Plaza between 42nd and 43rd Streets, has been announced.
Marcus Paul James, who has appeared on Broadway in Rent, In the Heights, and Motown the Musical, will perform July 10. Lauren Elder, seen on Broadway in the revivals of Side Show and Hair, will entertain July 24. And, Nick Blaemire, the composer/lyricist of Broadway’s Glory Days who has performed in Godspell and Cry-Baby, is scheduled to share his music July 31.
The free Tuesday-evening series allows those interested to enjoy original music performed by Broadway actors and composers. The performances, which begin at 5 PM, are positioned within TSQ MKT, the local food market in Times Square.
Nilan was an award-winning writer, director, actor, producer, educator, and arts leader whose work centered on intersectionality, queer life, and the multiplicity of human experience.
