News Margulies' Acclaimed Time Stands Still Ends Broadway Run Time Stands Still, Donald Margulies' well-reviewed play at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Broadway, ends its limited run March 27 after 27 previews and 68 performances. It had been extended by one week.

To accommodate the added shows, MTC bumped Collected Stories (also by Margulies) to a start date of April 9 rather than April 6 at the Friedman. Opening night for Collected Stories remains April 28. Time Stands Still, directed by Daniel Sullivan, opened Jan. 28 to positive reviews. On March 26, the American Theatre Critics Association gave it a special citation.

In Time Stands Still, "Sarah and James, a photographer and a journalist (Laura Linney and Brian d'Arcy James), have been together for years and share a passion for documenting the realities of war. But when circumstances compel them to return home to New York and their circle of friends (Eric Bogosian and Alicia Silverstone) the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life."
