Friendship Comedy by Flavio Marinho opens Oct. 2 at The Vanucci Theatre in Rio de Janeiro. Also directing the piece, Marinho chose a well-known TV and theatre cast to illustrate the existential crises of fortysomethings. He explores serious themes like maturity, behaviour and friendship without losing his sense of humor.
Friendship is the story of two women in their early 40s trying to make up for lost time. With raised hopes they throw a party, inviting boyfriends from their teenage years, hoping to recapture some magic moments, but predictally it turns out to be a disaster.
Starring Louise Cardoso (currently playing Mercedes in "Zaza" a famous Brazilian soap opera), Cristina Pereira, Alice Borges, Marcelo Saback and Paulo Cesar Grande.
