The MAC Award-winning variety show, "Jamie deRoy & friends," returns to the West Bank Cafe's Laurie Beechman Theatre on June 20.
Among those taking part in this edition of JD&F are former Love! Valour! Compassion! star Mario Cantone as well as Kim Cea, Sherry Davey, Jim Dawson, Kristopher McDowell, Modern Man and Swingirls. Barry Kleinbort directs the evening, and Jo Lynn Burks will serve as its musical director.
Jamie deRoy, a stand-up comic, singer and hostess-with-the-mostess, has been a longtime fixture on the New York cabaret scene. Her variety program can be seen on Manhattan Neighborhood Network every other Tuesday evening at 8 PM on Channel 67. Her most recent CD, "Jamie deRoy & friends — Volume 3: 'Tis the Season," was released in 2001 by Harbinger Records.
JD&F begins at 8 PM at the Laurie Beechman Theater, which is located at 407 West 42nd Street in New York City. There is a $15 cover charge and a one-drink minimum; reservations can be made by calling (212) 695-6909.
