The solo show which finds Cantone ranting, raving and singing is staged by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Assassins, Take Me Out). Showtime and Jonathan Burkhart present the work which began previews at the Cort Theatre Oct. 12 and opened Oct. 24.

Cantone, known to television audiences as ruthless gay wedding stylist Anthony Marentino on "Sex and the City," recently played on Broadway in The Violet Hour and Assassins. The Boston-area native has also appeared on Broadway in Love! Valour! Compassion!, Off-Broadway in The Crumple Zone and many comedy gigs including spots on "Chappelle's Show" and his own Comedy Central special.

Showtime taped Cantone's Laugh Whore at the Cort Theatre in December and will air the show tentatively in early 2005.
