MARQUEE VALUE: Victory Gardens' New Biograph Theatre Marquee

Marquee Value   MARQUEE VALUE: Victory Gardens' New Biograph Theatre Marquee
The electric marquee of Chicago's Biograph Theatre, the site where criminal John Dillinger was shot, is aglow again as the new home of the Victory Gardens Theater.

The marquee is billed as "an all-new, historically accurate, fully-functioning replica" of the 1930s marquee made famous when Dillinger was gunned down. Representatives from Chicago's civic and business sectors joined Victory Gardens staff to celebrate the lighting of the marquee on Sept. 28. At Left: (front, from left) Chicago’s 43rd Ward Alderman Vi Daley, Victory Gardens Theater Managing Director Marcelle McVay, (back) Victory Gardens Artistic Director Dennis Zacek, Victory Gardens Board President John Palmer, and S. Gary Snodgrass, Executive Vice President, Exelon.
