News Martin Short to Host Broadway on Broadway The 15th annual Broadway on Broadway concert — the free outdoor Times Square concert celebrating The Great White Way — will be held Sept. 10 at 11:30 AM.

Martin Short, currently on the New York stage in Fame Becomes Me, will host the event, which will feature performances from most every musical currently running on Broadway as well as a few of the shows scheduled for the upcoming season. Attendees can expect to enjoy performances from the casts of Avenue Q, Beauty and the Beast, The Color Purple, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Drowsy Chaperone, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, The Producers, Rent, Spamalot, Tarzan, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Wedding Singer and Wicked plus the soon-to-open productions of Company, Les Misérables, High Fidelity, Spring Awakening, Grey Gardens, Jay Johnson: The Two and Only and The Times They Are A-Changin’.

In a statement host Short said, "When they first asked me to be the host of Broadway on Broadway, I thought my publicist was stuttering. Having said that, I’m thrilled to join all my fellow hard-working stage performers at this great event. As I always say, performing in a Broadway musical is never easy. But if you cast it properly, there’s someone in the chorus who is.”
