News   Marvelous Wonderettes to Make a Splash Sept. 29 The cast of the new Off-Broadway musical The Marvelous Wonderettes will perform at Splash Bar Sept. 29.

As part of Scott Nevins' Curtain Call series at the popular dance club, Farah Alvin, Beth Malone, Bets Malone and Victoria Matlock will perform two songs from Wonderettes following the weekly "Musical Mondays" video presentations of Broadway performances. The concert is scheduled for midnight. The evening will also include a Q&A with the Wonderettes cast as well as ticket giveaways for the musical, which currently plays Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre Upstairs.

The Marvelous Wonderettes, according to press notes, "features the iconic sounds of the fifties and sixties in a journey back to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where the Wonderettes — Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy — are four young girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts." Songs included in the new show are "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Lipstick on Your Collar," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," "It's My Party" and "It's in His Kiss." Splash Bar is located in Manhattan at 50 W. 17th Street. Admission is free until 10 PM; there is a $5 charge after that time. Attendees must be 21 or older with identification.
