News Marvin Hamlisch Will Perform and Talk in An Intimate Evening in L.A. An Intimate Evening with Marvin Hamlisch, celebrating the work of the Tony Award-winning composer, will take place March 22 at the Freud Playhouse on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles.

According to the website of Reprise Theatre Company, which is presenting the event, Hamlisch will perform, in addition to discussing his life and career. Hamlisch received a Tony Award for his score for A Chorus Line and shared the Pulitzer Prize for that show with his collaborators. His other Broadway credits include Sweet Smell of Success and They're Playing Our Song. He has written more than 40 film scores and received Oscars for the score and title song of "The Way We Were" and the score of "The Sting." He has also received four Emmys (two for his work as musical director on "Barbra Streisand: The Concert"), four Grammys and three Golden Globes.
