Titled, "Dear. Mr. You.," the book is billed as "an autobiographical literary work of nonfiction." It is scheduled for a fall 2015 publication from Scribner.
The book will be framed as a series of letters to men. Scribner senior vice president and publisher Nan Graham characterizes it as "wholly original and brilliantly executed."

Her film work includes "Saved!," "Romance & Cigarettes," "Fried Green Tomatoes," "Naked In New York," "The Client," "Bullets Over Broadway," "Red Dragon" and "Howl." Her TV work includes "Weeds," "The West Wing" and "Angels in America."
