News Mary Poppins Cast Members Offer Free Concert Aug. 2 Four cast members from the national tour of Mary Poppins offer a free evening at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Aug. 2.

Part of the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage free concert series, the evening will begin at 6 PM.

"Travel through a year on the road with four cast members of the national tour of Mary Poppins," according to press notes, "Q. Smith, Ellen Harvey, Geoffrey Goldberg and Tom Souhrada — all of whom are no stranger to performing away from home. Creating a comic and touching evening through song and narrative, they explore the cities they have traveled, their ups and downs, focusing through the lens of the people that have affected them along the way."

The performance will also be broadcast live via the Kennedy Center website.

The national tour of the Disney-Cameron Mackintosh musical Mary Poppins is currently playing the Kennedy Center through Aug. 22.
