Mary Testa, Alison Fraser and Joy Franz Set for Free Red Workshop

News   Mary Testa, Alison Fraser and Joy Franz Set for Free Red Workshop The York Theatre Company will present two free workshop performances of the new musical Red: Jan. 11 at 1 PM and Jan. 14 at 11 AM.

Red, which is described as an “ironic exploration of the Rosenberg Trial, McCarthyism and the Red Scare,” features a book by Marcus Stevens, music by Brian Lowdermilk and lyrics by Stevens and Lowdermilk. Red was the winner of the 2005 Richard Rodgers Development Award. The cast for the reading will include Miguel Cervantes, Joy Franz, Alison Fraser, Michael McCoy, Leo Nouhan, Jenny Powers, Henry Stram, Mary Testa, and Drew Taylor. Vadim Feichtner is the show’s musical director.
