Matt Shakman's cast for the comedy-drama about a struggling South Boston single mother reaching to the other side of the tracks (to a prosperous old flame) will also feature Cherise Boothe (original cast of Ruined), Sara Botsford (Broadway's The Real Thing), Marylouise Burke (Broadway's Into the Woods and Is He Dead?, Lindsay-Abaire's Fuddy Meers, Wonder of the World, Kimberly Akimbo) and Brad Fleischer (Broadway's Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo).

Shakman is the artistic director of L.A.'s Black Dahlia Theatre. Previews begin April 3 for a run to May 13.

"Kaczmarek takes on the role of Margie, while Tenney plays her old flame, Mike, who has moved on and married Kate, played by Boothe," according to Geffen notes. "Botsford, Burke and Fleischer bring the South Boston community to life as Margie’s friends Jean and Dottie and her former boss, Stevie."

Good People was nominated for a 2010 Tony Award for Best Play. Linday-Abaire won the Pulitzer Prize for Rabbit Hole. Good People was named Best Play of the 2010-11 season by the New York Drama Critics Circle.

The production team includes set designer Craig Siebels, costume designer E.B. Brooks, lighting designer Elizabeth Harper, sound designer Jonathan Snipes, production stage manager Jill Gold and assistant stage manager Kyra Hansen.
