News Mason, Maye and Wilson Will Premiere New Shows at the Metropolitan Room The Metropolitan Room, Manhattan's newest cabaret space, will feature a mix of cabaret and theatre favorites in April.

Highlighting the month will be brand-new acts from Mamma Mia!'s Karen Mason and veteran performers Marilyn Maye and Julie Wilson. Mason will play the Metropolitan Room April 2-5 and April 10-13. All shows begin at 7:30 PM, except for April 13 performance, which commences at 7 PM. Wilson will offer her new show April 17-19 and April 24-27. All shows begin at 7:30 PM except April 27 at 7 PM. Maye will celebrate her 80th birthday with a show entitled It's My Party . . . and I'll Sing if I Want To. She will perform at the intimate cabaret April 8 and 9 at 7:30 PM, April 11 at 10 PM and April 13-16 at 9:30 PM.

April will also feature performances by Amanda McBroom (March 19 at 7:30 PM and March 20-22 at 10 PM), MAC winner Julie Reyburn (March 27, April 24 and May 29 at 10 PM), Lennie Watts (who will sing Barry Manilow tunes April 5 and 12 at 10 PM), Kim Nalley (who will offer The Heart of Lady Day April 18 and 19 at 10 PM), Tony nominee Sharon McKnight (April 25 and 26 at 10 PM), country and musical theatre star Larry Gatlin (April 29 at 9:30 PM) and Marcus Simeone (who will explore The Heart April 6 at 7 PM).

Jamie deRoy will also bring her MAC-winning variety show, Jamie deRoy & friends, to the Metropolitan Room April 1 at 7:30 PM.
