News Matt Doyle, Lesli Margherita, Josh Young, Julia Murney and More Will Sing to Benefit Self Help Africa Broadway for Self Help Africa will bring Broadway stars to New York City's Cutting Room March 9 for a night of song and celebration benefiting Self Help Africa.

The concert will feature performances from Matt Doyle (The Book of Mormon, War Horse), Lesli Margherita (Matilda), Tamika Sonja Lawrence (If/Then), Julia Murney (The Wild Party, Wicked), Maia Wilson ("Frozen," The Book of Mormon), Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar), Eric Anderson (Kinky Boots, Rocky, The Last Ship), Kyle Taylor Parker (Kinky Boots), Charles Franklin (The Book of Mormon), Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal), Abby Mueller (Kinky Boots), Dawn Cantwell (The Last Ship), Marissa McGowan (Little Night Music, Les Misérables), Joey Taranto (Kinky Boots), Pauline Pisano (I, Revere), Anne Fraser Thomas (City Center's Faust) and more. Broadway for Self Help Africa will feature musical direction by composer and musical director Will Van Dyke (Kinky Boots, Rent, The Adams Family, Wicked), who will also perform with his band, The Whiskey 5.

All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to Self Help Africa, a non-profit with a pro-profit approach to rural Africa. Through nurturing entrepreneurship and providing economic opportunities, Self Help Africa "helps to lift some of the poorest communities out of poverty. Over 30 years, the organization has provided nearly 2 million people with the opportunity to make a sustainable income through their own initiatives: A help up, not a hand-out."
