Presented by Creation Production Company, Wild Man in Rome — a follow-up to Maguire's Wild Man, which premiered at The Wild Project in 2010 — plays 8 PM performances Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 1 at the Son of Semele Ensemble.
Written and performed Maguire, Wild Man in Rome features direction by Elizabeth Margid and lighting design by Chad McArver. Wild Man in Rome concluded its two-week New York City run Nov. 24.
In Maguire's first show, Wild Man, he grappled with mortality as he explored the wildest moments of his life and told true stories of runaway horses, smuggling watermelons and cheating death. Wild Man in Rome, according to Creation Production Company, includes "fresh stories collected in Rome over four years. Whereas Wild Man was entirely autobiographical, Wild Man in Rome will weave fact with fable. Wild Man in Rome asks: Where is our wild side and how can we unleash it?"
