PlayBlog Matthew Morrison Gets By With a Little Help From His Friends (Video) Matthew Morrison, the Broadway performer who went on to star in the Fox hit series "Glee," says that his success is due to the help, encouragement and advice from his life-long friends.


Here, Morrison teams up with Bing to promote the website and talk about his core group of friends and family that have supported him on his journey to stardom. The performer explains that every decision he makes "has to go through [his] friends."

His exposure to the arts began at the Orange County High School of the Arts. While still in high school Ralph Opacic, the president and executive director of the school, encouraged him to pursue his musical talents. Upon graduation, the performer's high school sweetheart pushed him to audition for NYU, which paved a road to booking the leading role in Broadway's Hairspray. After ten years of Broadway shows, Morrison landed "Glee" and now has gone on to a solo CD and upcoming concert tour—all due to a little push from his peers.
