Stage and screen star Matthew Morrison, Tony-nominated for his performance in The Light in the Piazza, will be part of Simon Cowell’s new show for BBC One, The Greatest Dancer, according to Deadline.
The Glee and Finding Neverland actor will be part of a trio of dance captains in the program, which will search for the best dancer in the U.K. Morrison will be joined by Cheryl Tweedy (Girls Aloud) and Oti Mabuse ( Strictly Come Dancing). Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo will host.
Eight episodes of the series—which will feature talent from the dance world (spotlighting ballet, jazz, hip-hop, Bollywood, and more)—have been ordered to air Saturday nights. Auditions for the program will be held in Birmingham prior to a 2019 debut.
Viewers can expect to view challenges and live performance in addition to the auditions.

Morrison said in a statement, “This is such a powerful moment for me. It’s wonderful to continue bringing music and dance into peoples’ lives like we did on Glee. Dance is a safe haven that allows us to communicate where words cannot. It’s an expression of love and empowerment, driven by all the emotions that make us human. I love being exposed to people who are pursuing art, and expression, and I look forward to being a moving force for good on their journey. As a dance captain, my sincere hope is that I can uplift and encourage all the dancers here to reach their greatness.”
