News Matthew Stocke Returns to Broadway's Rock of Ages for Limited Engagement Matthew Stocke returns to the cast of the Tony-nominated hit musical Rock of Ages Feb. 7 at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street) for four weeks.

Stocke is temporarily stepping in for Paul Schoeffler in the role of Hertz, the German developer looking to renovate the Sunset Strip, while Schoeffler is on leave to play Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha at Houston’s Theatre Under The Stars. Schoeffler will return to Rock of Ages March 11.

Stocke, whose previous Broadway credits include The Wedding Singer, The Boy From Oz, The Full Monty and Titanic, had performed as a swing in Rock of Ages from 2009-2011.

The Broadway cast is currently headed by Kate Rockwell as Sherrie, Justin Matthew Sargent as Drew, Joey Calveri as Stacee Jaxx, Genson Blimline as Lonny, Adam Dannheisser as Dennis, Cody Scott Lancaster as Franz, Josephine Rose Roberts as Regina and Teresa Stanley as Justice. Rounding out the company are Tessa Alves, Andrew Call, Tony LePage, Michael Minarik, Jennifer Rias, Cassie Silva, Andre Ward and Neka Zang.

The musical comedy Rock of Ages borrows rock hits of the 1980s to tell the story of showbiz lovers in L.A. The score includes "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "I Wanna Know What Love Is," "Here I Go Again," "Don't Stop Believin'" and more.

Rock of Ages is written by Chris D'Arienzo, directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Devine. Rock of Ages is produced on Broadway and world-wide by Matthew Weaver, Michael Cohl and Jonathan Linden/S2BN Entertainment.
