News Maureen McGovern Sends Pasadena Playhouse a Musical Valentine, Feb. 14 Maureen McGovern, a versatile singer who is known for her work in theatre, films, cabaret and television, will do a solo concert at the Pasadena Playhouse on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, at 7.30 PM. The concert will benefit the not-for-profit Playhouse, which is presently offering a production of Joe DiPrieto's comedy, The Kiss at City Hall as part of its millennium season.

Maureen McGovern, a versatile singer who is known for her work in theatre, films, cabaret and television, will do a solo concert at the Pasadena Playhouse on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, at 7.30 PM. The concert will benefit the not-for-profit Playhouse, which is presently offering a production of Joe DiPrieto's comedy, The Kiss at City Hall as part of its millennium season.McGovern, seen last year in the Reprise! production of Of Thee I Sing, will perform love songs, show tunes and standards during the course of the night. She is perhaps best known for her pop hits "The Morning After," which won an Academy Award for Best Song, and "Can You Read My Mind."
