News Mauricio Perez Joins Cast of Off-Broadway's Miss Abigail Feb. 2 On Feb. 2 Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating, & Marriage, which officially opened Off-Broadway Oct. 24, 2010, welcomes Mauricio Perez to its cast.

Perez, who most recently appeared Off-Broadway in the long-running musical Altar Boyz, assumes the role of Miss Abigail's (Eve Plumb) "sexy assistant and faithful sidekick," Paco. Perez originated that role last spring in the show's pre-New York engagement in Florida. He succeeds Manuel Herrera, who played his final performance Jan. 30.

Former "Brady Bunch" star Plumb is making her New York theatrical debut in the lead role of Miss Abigail.

Written by Ken Davenport (Altar Boyz, My First Time, The Awesome 80s Prom) and Sarah Saltzberg (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), the play — presented in an open-ended engagement — began previews at the Downstairs Cabaret Theater at Sofia's Oct. 7, 2010. Davenport also directs.

Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating, & Marriage is based on Abigail Grotke's popular book and tells  the story of "Miss Abigail, the most sought-after relationship expert to the stars — think Dr. Ruth meets Emily Post — and her sexy sidekick Paco, as they travel the globe teaching Miss Abigail’s outrageously funny 'how-tos' on dating, mating and marriage."

Downstairs Cabaret Theater at Sofia's is located at 221 West 46th Street, next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. For ticket information visit www.MissAbigailsGuide.com.
