The Manhattan Class Company (MCC) production of Jose Rivera's Sueno begins previews Feb. 23 in Manhattan. The show opens March 1 and will run through March 19.
Sueno features John Ortiz in the lyrical adaptation of Pedro Calderon de la Barca's Spanish classic, Life is a Dream.
Lisa Peterson directs the cast, which also includes Michi Barall, Yusef Bulos, Aaron Gilmartin, David Greenspan, Geno Silva, Rebecca Wisocky, Damian Young, Lorenzo Gregorio, Ken Parker, Jeremy Seymour and Sam Wellington.
MCC artistic directors Robert LuPone and Bernard Telsey and associate artistic director William Cantler head the production. The design team comprises set designer Riccardo Hernandez, costume designer Anita Yavich, lighting designer Christopher Ackerland and sound designer Fabian Obispo.
