Maureen McGovern lends her voice to the songs of Richard Rodgers when she appears at the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room in Manhattan Sept. 8-Oct. 14. The new engagement, With a Song in My Heart, features McGovern's musical director, Jeff Harris, on piano.
Tickets are $50, with a $15 food-drink minimum.
McGovern, of course, is known for singing the pop hit, "The Morning After," and bringing her clarion soprano to musical theatre hits in concert, on studio cast albums ("Of Thee I Sing"/"Let 'Em Eat Cake"), in cabarets and in musicals.
