A benefit for Blue Roses Productions, the evening — conceived and directed by Blue Rose artistic director Erma Duricko — celebrates what would have been the late playwright's 97th birthday. Those scheduled to take part in the 7:30 PM reading include Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie, Tandy Cronyn, Jeremy Lawrence and Joel Vig. The evening also features Blue Roses company members Tim Brown, Kara Corthron, Marissa Duricko, Karen Eterovich, Michael Graves, Jim Ireland, Sarah Ireland, Donna LaStella, Blair Sams, George Sheffey, Tom Wolfe and John Yearley as well as guest performers Heather Harper and David Ojala.

A party will follow the Williams readings.

The Sage Theater is located in New York City at 711 Seventh Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets. Tickets (there is a suggested donation of $20) are available by calling (212) 252-4915 or at the door.
