News McKeever Deconstructs "Les Liaisons" for 2009 Florida World Premiere, Dangerous Caldwell Theatre Company in Boca Raton, FL, will spike its 2008-2009 mainstage season with the world premiere of Florida writer Michael McKeever's Dangerous, inspired by the novel "Les Liaisons Dangereuses."

The drama, to play Feb. 22-March 29, 2009, was first staged in Caldwell's 2008 Play Reading Series. "Les Liaisons" is the 18th-century French novel about sex and power games among the aristocracy just before the French Revolution.

Dangerous is billed as "'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' "deconstructed and restaged in the seductive and decadent underworld of 1930 Weimar Germany." McKeever's farce Suite Surrender had its world premiere at Caldwell in January 2008.

The 34th Caldwell season also includes the musical She Loves Me in November-December; Peter Morgan's drama of politics and celebrity, Frost/Nixon, in January 2009; and the murder mystery musical Something's Afoot, April-May 2009.

The current 2008 Caldwell Summer Season includes a return of Doubt, a Parable Aug. 1-17, followed by David C. Hyer's political comedy, Lying in State, Sept. 5-21.
