The 2013 Radio Play is adapted by Joe Landry from the book by Hugh Wheeler, with direction by Gordon Greenberg (Working) and choreography by Lorin Latarro (Hands on a Hardbody, Scandalous). Performances continue through Dec. 29.
"We are pleased to be bringing another collaborative Radio Play back to the Bucks County Playhouse for the holidays," said Bernstein in an earlier statement. "This is an art form that has been lost to technology, and we are proud to be making this a New Hope tradition."
The cast includes Geoff Packard, Jay Russell, Garth Kravits, Lauren Molina, Chelsea Packard and Victoria Cook.
Based on The Kensington Stories by Sally Benson and the MGM motion picture "Meet Me In St. Louis," starring Judy Garland, Meet Me In St. Louis: A Live Radio Play features songs by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blaine, including classics such as "The Boy Next Door," "Skip To My Lou," "The Trolley Song," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Meet Me in St. Louis."
The creative team includes Rob Bissinger (original set design), Jared W. Rutherford (scenic design consultant), Nicole V. Moody (costume design), Paul Miller (lighting design), Ed Chapman (sound design) and Phil Reno (music direction).
The Bucks County Playhouse is located at 70 South Main Street in New Hope, PA. For more information and tickets, call (215) 862-2121 or visit BCPTheater.org.
