We don't get to hear Murphy sing any of the songs Broadway's Alan Menken and Glenn Slater penned for the "Rapunzel"-inspired flick, but we do get to hear her make a meal of some tasty dialogue for the vain villainess who spirits the golden-tressed heroine to a distant tower for safekeeping.
Murphy, who won Tony Awards for Passion and The King and I and more recently has appeared in Wonderful Town, LoveMusik and the Encores! concert of Anyone Can Whistle, will next be seen on Broadway this spring in the new musical The People in the Picture.
"Tangled," also featuring the voices of Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn Ryder, will hit theatres Nov. 24.
