Broadway’s favorite tight-knit family is taking their act on the road! The 2016 revival tour of Falsettos will officially launch at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theater March 20, 2019 (after technical rehearsals and opening performances February 8–9 in Fayetteville, Arkansas)—and leading the family will be Nick Adams (La Cage aux Folles and Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as Whizzer, Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn The Musical) as Trina, and Tony nominee Max von Essen (An American in Paris) as Marvin. See the trio talk about the show and their roles in the video below.

Filling out the rest of the cast are Nick Blaemire (Cry-Baby) as Mendel, Audrey Cardwell (first national tours of Bright Star and Cinderella) as Cordelia, and Bryonha Marie Parham (Porgy and Bess, Prince of Broadway) as Dr. Charlotte, with Josh Canfield, Melanie Evans, Megan Loughran, and Darick Pead. Casting for Jason will be announced later.

"It is a great thrill to be bringing Falsettos to theater audiences across America and to be doing so with this exceptional cast of Broadway actors,” said director James Lapine in a statement.

Written by Lapine and songwriter William Finn, Falsettos tells the story of Marvin, who left his wife Trina for his lover Whizzer; their son Jason; their therapist Mendel; the lesbians neighbors next door; and what makes a family in the end, even as the specter of AIDS begins casting shadows on them all. The original production won Tony Awards for the score and book; the 2016 revival (also directed by Lapine) was nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical.

The North American tour of the Lincoln Center Theater Broadway production is produced by Jujamcyn Theaters and NETworks Presentations.
