The ASCAP Foundation’s Musical Theatre Workshop returns to The Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills February 7–9. A partnership between ASCAP, the Wallis, and Universal Theatre Group, the three-day workshop invites theatre composers to present selections from their musicals in development.
Wicked and Pippin composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz, who is the ASCAP artistic director, oversees the workshop that will present hour-long performances of the new musicals The Bully Problem (February 7 at 7:30 PM) and Tenn (February 8 at 7:30 PM).
On February 9 at 7:30 PM, ASCAP will offer An Evening with Stephen Schwartz: A Writers Circle, featuring special guests Megan Hilty, Marcy Heisler, Zina Goldrich, and Cinco Paul.
