Hilty, whose Main Stem credits include Wicked and 9 to 5, will play a former Broadway star in the Judah Miller comedy.
Hilty's character Irene is forced to adjust to life as a suburban mom; although she seems a bit self-centered, she has a heart of gold.
Miller, who wrote the script, is also an executive producer along with Tom Lassally and Jonathan Berry.
Hilty played another Broadway actress role, Marilyn Monroe aspirant Ivy Lynn, in "Smash."
Hilty was also seen opposite Sean Hayes in NBC's "Sean Saves the World."
