News   Mel Brooks and Dick Cavett Will Be "Together Again" on HBO in September
"Mel Brooks and Dick Cavett Together Again," an hour-long special featuring the two entertainment legends in conversation onstage before a live audience, is set to air Sept. 9 on HBO.

The special will begin at 9 PM ET and features Brooks and Cavett at Los Angeles' Saban Theatre sharing "show-business memories and hilarious stories for loyal fans and a new generation of viewers." Brooks won an Oscar for writing the 1968 film “The Producers”; he also won 2001 Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score for the stage version based on his hit film. His other Broadway credits include Young Frankenstein, All American and Shinbone Alley. Among his film credits are “Blazing Saddles,” “Young Frankenstein,” “High Anxiety,” “History of the World Part 1,” “Spaceballs” and “Robin Hood: Men in Tights.”

Cavett hosted his own late-night program on ABC from the late-‘60s to the mid-‘70s. The performer has been seen on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show, Into the Woods and Otherwise Engaged.
