Singer and actress Melba Moore will offer "A Swell Party" at NY's Sylvia & Danny Kaye Playhouse on Park Ave. & East 68th St., for four nights only, Oct. 9-12. Subtitled "The Cole Porter Songbook," the show will feature Moore, joined by a cast of four singers and dancers.

Moore was an original cast member of Hair, and she won a Supporting Actress Tony Award for 1970's Purlie. She also starred opposite Eartha Kitt in Broadway's Timbuktu! and, most recently, as Fantine (1996) in Les Miserables.

According to The Publicity Office, the show will offer Moore backed on twin grand pianos. Patricia Wilcox directs and choreographs, with musical direction by Fred Wells. Appearing alongside Moore will be Jerry Christakos (Kiss Of The Spider Woman), Jennifer Lee Andrews (Grand Hotel), Denise Nolin (Guys And Dolls) and Abe Sylvia (Cats).

Songs in the concert include "Begin The Beguine," "Too Darn Hot," "Anything Goes," "Night And Day" and "Love For Sale." Porter's Broadway hits included Kiss Me Kate, Can-Can and Anything Goes.

The Kaye concert kicks off a national tour of the Moore show, scheduled to run at least through December. Here's the rundown:
