Due to vocal cord strain, Errico, who plays the comely and virginal Mina in the Bram Stoker-inspired pop musical, has been out of the show since Sept. 7. Understudy Elizabeth Loyacano has stepped into the part at the Belasco Theatre. A spokesman for the show said there was no official word when Errico (Amour, High Society, My Fair Lady, Finian's Rainbow) might be back.
The musical by composer Frank Wildhorn and writers Don Black and Christopher Hampton is directed by Des McAnuff and stars Tom Hewitt as the Eastern European vampire count and Errico as his pure British quarry, Mina Murray.
As part of the ensemble, Loyacano usually plays one of the vampire harpies in the show. The actress' credits include understudying Laurey in the recent Oklahoma! on Broadway, and developmental work on Barry Manilow's Harmony, as well as regional productions of Grease, Titanic and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
