News Melissa Errico Will Join Uptown Express for Gotta Be This or That Concerts Uptown Express, the six person pop-jazz ensemble, will perform in concert May 11 and 12 at the Thalia Theatre at Symphony Space.

Broadway actress Melissa Errico will join the group both evenings. The May 11 concert will also feature cabaret artist Steve Ross, and the May 12 concert will boast MAC and Bistro Award winner Sidney Myer. Show time is 7:30 PM.

The evenings of pop, jazz and comedy, entitled Gotta Be This or That, will feature tunes by Frank Loesser, The Beatles, Queen, Melissa Ethridge, Franki Valli and The Four Seasons and K.D. Lang. The music director and arranger for Uptown Express is James Followell.

The six-person group comprises Aldrin Arche, Chris Caswell, Mark Danis, John DePalma, Alex Goro and Brad Parks.

Melissa Errico began her professional career portraying Cosette in Les Misérables, and she followed with leading Broadway roles in Anna Karenina, My Fair Lady, High Society, Amour (Tony nomination) and Dracula, plus roles in the City Center Encores! productions of Call Me Madam and One Touch of Venus. She appeared in a production of Threepenny Opera at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and her recent Off-Broadway credits include Finian's Rainbow and Aunt Dan and Lemon. She also starred in the Hollywood Bowl presentations of Camelot and The Sound of Music. Errico's debut solo recording was titled "Blue Like That."
