News Memphis' George to Play the Triad Rhett George, who is in the ensemble of the Tony-nominated Best Musical Memphis, will go it solo at the Triad Theatre in Manhattan May 17.

Singer-actor-composer George told Playbill.com, "I will be doing an acoustic set of my music . . .I will be doing new songs, songs from my album and some covers. My style of music is soul, pop and funk." The evening, part of Lee Summers' "Just a Piano" concert series, will begin at 9 PM.

Rhett George has also been seen on Broadway in Aida, Wicked, Sweet Charity and The Little Mermaid. His solo album, "Something Better," is available on iTunes.
