Classic Arts News Memphis Symphony Names Principal Bassoonist Jennifer Rhodes will serve as the Memphis Symphony's principal bassoonist in 2005-06, the orchestra announced.
Rhodes, most recently the second bassoonist with the Opera Orchestra of New York, replaces Leyla Zamora, who has taken a leave to play with the San Diego Symphony. Rhodes studied at the Juilliard School and the Eastman School of Music.

The MSO also announced that Carole Kinsey is its new third hornist. Kinsey, the principal hornist of the Arkansas Symphony, replaces Jill Wilson, also on leave.
