The former Aida star's show is titled Sherie Rene Scott . . . a work in progress (as told to Dick Scanlan). Tom Kitt is the musical director.
Sherie Rene Scott has been seen on Broadway in The Who's Tommy, Grease, Rent, Aida and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, earning a Tony nomination for her work in the latter. Her other theatrical credits include The Last Five Years, Debbie Does Dallas, Elaborate Lives, Faust and Over and Over. Scott recently won a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Featured Actress for her work in Landscape of the Body, and she will play Ursula in the new Disney musical The Little Mermaid.
