"Theater Talk," the PBS theatre-related talk show, will devote two episodes on Jan. 18 and 25 to Meryle Secrest, the author of a new biography of composer Richard Rogers titled "Somewhere for Me." Susan Haskins and New York Post columnist, Michael Riedel, are, as always, hosts.
Secrest will discuss Rodgers' monumental work in the musical theatre, as well as his collaborations with lyricists Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II. 2002 is Rodgers centennial.
Secrest is the author of the first ever biography of another Rodgers intimate, Stephen Sondheim.
Both shows air at midnight in New York.
"Theater Talk"'s interview with Secrest will also air Wednesday, January 16 and 23 at 7:30 PM on WGBH/Boston. For more information, please visit www.theatertalk.playbill.com.
