Met to Perform Tosca and Samson et Dalila in the Parks

The Metropolitan Opera will perform Puccini's Tosca and Saint-SaêŠns' Samson et Dalila in its Met in the Parks series this summer, the company announced.

The free concert performances will be seen June 14-25 in Manhattan's Central Park; Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx; Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island; Brooklyn's Prospect Park; Cunningham Park in Queens; Brookdale Park in Montclair, New Jersey; and Buccleuch Park in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The cast of Tosca includes Aprile Millo and Cynthia Lawrence in the title role, Francisco Casanova and Oleg Kulko as Cavaradossi, and James Morris as Scarpia. Irina Mishura and Malgorzata Walewska sing Dalilal. In Samson et Dalila, Clifton Forbis and Mark Barker are Samson. Julius Rudel and Derrick Inouye are the conductors.
