News   MetroStage's Stephen Schwartz Project Meets Its Composer April 26 Alexandria, VA's MetroStage will receive a visit from composer Stephen Schwartz following a performance of The Stephen Schwartz Project on April 26.

The world-premiere revue – which celebrates the work of the Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning composer – currently plays MetroStage through May 25. Performances began April 10.

Twenty-eight songs are included in the production, representing Schwartz's musical and lyrical compositions for the stage and screen. Songs from The Magic Show, The Baker's Wife, Godspell, Rags, Wicked, Pippin and Children of Eden, among others, have been assembled by Michael Bobbitt and arranged by John L. Cornelius II.

Schwartz is slated to attend the April 26 matinee of the revue and will take part in a talkback session following that 3 PM performance.

The young cast includes Florrie Bagel, Priscilla Cuellar, Felicia Curry, Kerry Deitrick, Benjamin Horen, Amber Iman Moorer, Jobari Parker-Namdar, Andrew Sonntag and Clif Walker.
