Patrons of Mexico City's most popular clubs will dance to the rhythm of one of the songs from the hit Mexican musical Houdini, La Magia del Amor (Houdini, The Magic of Love). Composer Antonio Calvo made an special "disco" arrangement to the song "El Rey de la Magia" ("The King of Magic"), which premiered Feb. 4 at Mexico's La Base, a popular dance club located in the Historical Center of the city. "El Rey de la Magia" received a very enthusiastic response from the young crowd that visited the place that night. This "disco" version of the hit song is being distributed throughout Mexico City's clubs, so you'll probably hear it soon if you are a frequent visitor to clubs in Mexico City.

Houdini, La Magia del Amor, world-premiered Nov. 5, 1997 at Mexico City's Teatro Benito Juarez.
