Chicago News Micaela Diamond and Teal Wicks Join Stephanie J. Block as Title Role in The Cher Show, Full Cast Announced The cast of the Chicago world premiere will also feature Tony nominees Jarrod Spector, Michael Berresse, and Emily Skinner.

The complete cast is now set for the pre-Broadway engagement of The Cher Show. Bringing the music icon to the stage are three women who will play Cher at various stages of her life: the previously reported Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks (Wicked, Finding Neverland), and Micaela Diamond (NBC’s recent live Jesus Christ Superstar).

Performances will begin at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre June 12, where the pre-Broadway engagement will play a limited run through July 15. The musical will then start performances on Broadway November 1 at the Neil Simon Theatre (currently home to Angels in America), where it will officially open December 3.

The cast will also include Tony nominee Jarrod Spector (Beautiful) as Sonny Bono, Tony nominee Michael Berresse (Kiss Me, Kate) as Bob Mackie (the real-life Mackie is designing costumes for the show), Tony nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show, Prince of Broadway) as Georgia Holt, Michael Campayno (Wicked) as Rob Camilletti, and Matthew Hydzik (It Shoulda Been You) as Gregg Allman.

Rounding out the ensemble are Marija Abney, Carleigh Bettiol, Taurean Everett, Michael Fatica, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Michael Graceffa, Blaine Alden Krauss, Sam Lips, Allie Meixner, Tiana Okoye, Amy Quanbeck, Angel Reda, Dee Roscioli, Michael Tacconi, Tory Trowbridge, Christopher Vo, Alena Watters, Charlie Williams, and Ryan Worsing.

Casting for the Broadway engagement will be confirmed at a later date.

The musical, directed by Jason Moore and featuring a book Rick Elice, will use Cher’s memorable catalog explore her life and career. Christopher Gattelli will choreograph.
