News Michael C. Hall's "Dexter" Will Continue Killing Spree for Fourth and Fifth Seasons Showtime's bloody series "Dexter," starring Emmy nominee Michael C. Hall, has been picked up for two more seasons on the cable network.

Hall stars as Dexter Morgan, "an incredibly likeable forensics expert for the Miami Metro Police Department, who moonlights as a serial killer with a penchant for inflicting his own unusual brand of justice – he kills people who truly deserve it," according to Showtime.

The forthcoming fourth and fifth seasons will comprise 12 episodes each. The third season of "Dexter" made its debut Sept. 28.

The popular series also stars Jennifer Carpenter (The Crucible, "The Exorcism of Emily Rose"), Lauren Velez (Intimate Apparel), David Zayas (Anna in the Tropics, Our Lady of 121st Street), James Remar (Bent, California Dog Fight, "Sex and the City"), Julie Benz, C.S. Lee and Jimmy Smits.

Michael C. Hall's stage credits include Mr. Marmalade, Cabaret, Chicago, Corpus Christi, The Shakespeare Teachers and Skylight, among others. He is well known for his role on HBO's "Six Feet Under."
