News Michael Cerveris Releases Fun Home County Music Video It's a country arrangement of a song originally written for Fun Home.

Michael Cerveris, the Tony-winning star of the Broadway musical Fun Home, has released a video of “Pony Girl,” a Jeanine Tesori/Lisa Kron song written for the show, but cut during the development process. A snippet of the song is heard in the Broadway production.

Rescued from Tesori's trunk, the song has been arranged for Cerveris' country band, Loose Cattle.

Cerveris released a video of the song on the Rolling Stone website, featuring young actors from the musical.

He told Rolling Stone, “I assumed it was some old folk lullaby and I said something like that one day, and Lisa [Kron] said, 'Oh no, we wrote it.' I asked to hear the whole thing and it sort of sounded like a country waltz to me, so I gave it my band. I think I forgot to tell them where the origin of it was, and it's a sweet song, so they thought it was an old country classic.”

Loose Cattle also released it on a vinyl 45 rpm record.
